It's that time of the year when Teddies pack up their picnics and head to Lydekker Park in Harpenden for the Teddy Bears' Picnic.  So make sure you head down there to enjoy a fun event on 3rd August.

The Teddy Bears' Picnic is organised to coincide with National Playday, a national celebration of children’s right to play and a campaign to highlight the importance of play in children’s lives.

Lydekker Park – August 3^rd - 11am – 2pm

Sandy Art

Face painting (please note that tickets are limited for this one)

Bouncy castle and soft play

Herts Family Centre craft activities

Bear Discovery Trail

Teddy Bears' Hospital.

There'll be two Story Time sessions at 11:30am and 12:20pm, roll up-roll up for the fabulous Showtime Circus Show which starts at 12 noon and expect a lot of fun with Funny Bones at 12:45pm!

Harpenden Town Mayor Cllr Lisa Scriven said “Teddy Bear’s Picnic is a Harpenden favourite enjoyed by young children and their bears alike. It is always a delight to see so many children engaged in fun activities in one of Harpenden’s most treasured green spaces. We’re very proud to be able to host this type of celebration and, as a Harpenden parent myself, I know how important fun-filled and free events are during the school Summer holidays.”

This event really is a highlight of the year in Lydekker Park. Bring along a picnic and don’t forget to invite your favourite bear!

This is the first of two FREE events in Lydekker Park this Summer: Music in Lydekker takes place on Saturday 27thAugust and is an exciting opportunity to enjoy some fabulous music by Tennessee Boogie Boys and Threefold with a picnic or delicious food and drink from the food vendors.
